Graduate Studies
The demand for science
teachers is always high. Now, more
than ever
at The University of Alabama
NOTE: Click HERE to go to Master Degree program requirements
The
task of teaching science will be difficult. Many changes are being planned to
upgrade science in our schools. Teachers will have to develop new skills, learn
new knowledge, manage more complex tasks, and use advanced technology well.
Teachers will need new integrated science knowledge, expertise in inquiry
science teaching methods, new strategies for alternative science assessment and
skills in using multimedia technology, microcomputer (MBL) and calculator (CBL)
based laboratories. Science classroom action research, leading to more formal
qualitative and quantitative research in science teaching, is an important part
of all our programs at the graduate level.
