1. Project Energy will enhance the energy education knowledge and skills of teachers in eight state regions which are underserved in inservice science energy education.
2. The project will focus efforts on the science energy education standards adopted by the Alabama Course of Study- Science and the National Science Education Standards and on increasing the involvement of under-represented and under-served Alabama students in the impact and opportunities of energy research.
3. The eight sites will provide classroom models and leadership teachers for long term development of science energy education reform throughout the state.
Purpose: The purpose of Project Energy is to support, facilitate, and extend the energy literacy and energy education and to create collaborative partnerships between teachers and energy related organizations in the state of Alabama.
