This site includes a variety of useful ways to teach about earthquakes, as well as various other natural disasters. You can find quizzes such as a Natural Hazards quiz and a hazards quiz tailored for children. The children's quiz is offered in a variety of topics. This site also contains slide sets and other information concerning earthquakes.
- Ask Jeeves for Kids: In this interactive site, you type in a topic, such as earthquakes, and questions will appear. When I searched for earthquakes I found questions such as, "Where can I find the latest earthquake information from USGS?" and "Where can kids learn about coping with earthquakes?" This is an excellent site to use in the classroom.
- Earthquakes: This site contains information about plate tectonics and the measuring scale for earthquakes. It also teaches what to do before, during, and after earthquakes.
- ABAG Earthquake Maps and Information: This site contains a kid's zone, which contains quizzes, puzzles, and answers to the most frequently asked questions. This site also contains hazard maps and information concerning secondary earthquake disasters such as dam failures.
- COMMON EARTHQUAKE MYTHS: This site successfully debates common earthquake myths. This site could be useful when answering questions about earthquakes.

- Volcano World -- The Premier Source of Volcano Info on the Web: This site includes features such as: information about Mt. Saint Helens, information about current eruptions, a Kid's Zone, features a volcano every week, Ask a Volcanologist, and a search engine.
- Cascades Volcano Observatory - Living With Volcanoes: This site offers a variety of information about volcanoes. Featuring answers to questions such as, "What is a volcano?" and "When/Where/Why do they erupt?" this site also offers information about the different types of volcanoes and deadly eruptions.
- Volcanoes Virtual Field Trip: This is a great child related site. It offers a brief explanation of volcanoes and a Teacher's resource center.

- Volcanoes of the United States [USGS]: This site offers information about a variety of topics including, plate tectonics, recent eruptions, Hawaiian, Alaskan, and Cascade Volcanoes, and caladeras.
- Latin American Volcanoes: This site offers information about volcanoes in various Latin American countries including, Argentina, Bolivia, and Costa Rica.
- Alaska Volcano Observatory: This site contains a slide show, volcanic hazards maps, and USGS file reports.
- Costa Rica Volcanos: This site contains pictures and other information about Costa Rica and its volcanoes.
- Mount St. Helens, Washington: This site offers background information, pictures, and other valuable information about Mt. Saint Helens.

- Virtually New Orleans -- All About Hurricanes: This site offers information about hurricanes in New Orleans, LA. It also speaks about topics such as, hurricane names, hurricane season, what is a hurricane, and preparing for hurricanes.

- Scientific American Explorations: Turn! Turn! Turn!: This site contains information about various aspects of tornadoes. It includes a section about "storm chasers."
- National Severe Storms Laboratory: This site contains research about tornadoes and other natural disasters. It also includes a frequently asked questions section.
- Twisters: This site contains tornado information such as the fujita scale, tornado alley, and survival techniques. This site also contains a tornado photo gallery.
