PowerPoint (PPT) is a Microsoft Office application used to create exciting and colorful presentations, or "slide shows" as they are commonly referred. PowerPoint can be a wonderful classroom tool for you, the teacher, and for the student!

PowerPoint in Office 2000 and Office XP has made viewing your slide show presentation much easier. As shown below, the new viewing screen will show you slide show view, outline view, and notes page view for each slide.

Printing is still VERSATILE! This is nice, as full screen slides can take a while to print and can use more ink! J After choosing PRINT, look at the lower 1/3 of your PRINT window. There you will see an option called PRINT WHAT. Click on the Down arrow and you have the many options of printing.

You will convert your PowerPoint presentations to a web page. Office 97, choose SAVE AS HTML and follow the wizard prompts. In Office 2000 and XP, choose SAVE AS WEB PAGE and PowerPoint will create the folder with all your files!
** However, to best ensure that your presentation can be viewed using all browsers, follow these important steps before finally saving the document....**

Make sure when you upload your PPT to the server that you move everything in the folder, including any sound and image files you have in your presentation!
